I was born to stand in my own light.
I’ve dimmed myself before—
shrunk to fit,
silenced my truth to keep the peace,
let my worth be measured against someone else’s spotlight.
Never again.
I’m not here to be the background in anyone’s story.
I’m not here to be hidden when it’s convenient,
or celebrated only when it benefits someone else.
I will walk in my own light,
even if it blinds the ones who got used to me standing in the dark.

Finding Strength in Adversity
When the storm becomes your training ground.
Adversity doesn’t just test you—it introduces you to the parts of yourself you never knew existed.
The parts that refuse to give up.
The parts that can still see light through tears.
The parts that stand up even when your legs are shaking.
I’ve learned that strength isn’t built in calm waters—it’s forged in the waves that tried to pull you under.
Every betrayal, every loss, every 3 a.m. moment where the silence felt louder than your heartbeat… all of it has been shaping me.
Not breaking me—shaping me.
There’s a power that comes from surviving what should have destroyed you.
It’s not about becoming untouchable—it’s about knowing that even when you’re touched by fire, you can rise from the ashes.
And maybe, just maybe, you’ll glow even brighter because of it.
So I don’t fear the hard seasons anymore.
I’ve met the version of myself they create.
And she’s unstoppable.

Tired of shrinking to fit their expectations.
Tired of smiling when you want to scream.
Authenticity isn’t about being perfect—it’s about being whole.
It’s showing up with your flaws, your truth, your joy, and your scars all in the same breath.
It’s not chasing approval, because you’ve finally learned that the wrong people will never clap for the real you, and the right people don’t need a performance.
I’ve learned that the price of pretending is always higher than the cost of being misunderstood.
And if my honesty makes me “too much” for someone, they’re simply not my audience.
So, I choose me.

I Wasn’t a Secret, I Was Protected

There’s a difference.

People love to assume that if you weren’t on display, you were being hidden.
But not everything private is a shameful secret—sometimes it’s a sacred treasure.

I’ve learned that the world doesn’t always deserve immediate access to the most precious parts of your life.
Some things are kept close, not because they’re unwanted, but because they’re worth shielding from careless hands and reckless mouths.

I wasn’t a secret.
I was protected.
And now that I stand in the open, I can see that the timing wasn’t about hiding me... it was about preserving me.
